Austral was born in the heart of Latin America as a personal project that has lived in our imagination for years and inspires us to rediscover ourselves. We are Gabriel and Federico, Argentine cousins with a deep family bond, united by the desire to express our essence through the language of fashion.
The name Austral comes from our roots: Argentina, one of the southernmost countries in the world. It evokes remote, pure and unexplored landscapes, resonating with the idea of the "end of the world". This identity translates into an aesthetic that combines simple shapes with a play of textures and colours, offering an optimistic perspective on life.

The foundations of our brand were laid in Rome, following in the footsteps of our ancestors who set out decades ago for the south of the planet. In many ways, Italy represents a return home, because in the end, all roads, even the most southern, lead to Rome.
From our headquarters in Rome, we strive to fuse Latin American aesthetics with Italian excellence and craftsmanship. We collaborate with a small workshop in the city, allowing us to stay closely connected to every stage of the production process. All our garments are made in Italy, and through limited production, we ensure meticulous attention to detail, delivering exceptional quality, as only Italians know how to do.
Austral Roma is the result of that shared dream and years of learning and growth. The project combines our strengths and reflects a balance between strategic management and creativity in design, and is not just a professional project, but a way to celebrate the stories we carry with us, the values we share and the connections we build.
Federico
Federico was born and raised in San Rafael, Mendoza. He initially studied architecture, but over time he discovered that his true passion lay in another field of design. He decided to move to Buenos Aires to study Fashion Design at the University of Buenos Aires, while also beginning to train in practical areas such as sewing, pattern making and fashion production.
Throughout his career he has worked on important industry events, such as Fashion Week in Buenos Aires, as well as on advertising campaigns for various brands. His background in architecture has never ceased to be part of his identity: in parallel, he continued to develop his expertise in what is known as "ephemeral architecture".
In this way, Federico has managed to combine his structural approach and his creativity to create unique visual experiences, both in fashion and in space design, which has allowed him to develop a comprehensive vision of aesthetics, functionality and innovation.
Gabriel
Gabriel was born in San Rafael, Mendoza, a land surrounded by landscapes that have taught him to appreciate the purity and authenticity of nature from an early age. His passion for sports, the outdoors and travel has led him to live different experiences and explore different cultures that have enriched his vision of the world.
Professionally, Gabriel has always been an entrepreneur. Throughout his career he has worked independently leading various business projects, developing solid experience in management, business administration and finance. These areas have been the core of his professional life and have prepared him, together with his studies and subsequent specializations, to face each new challenge.
